What is a Notary Public and what do they do ?

A Notary Public is a Public Officer who has been given statutory powers to notarize, your documents for use in Australia and overseas.

The Notary Public has an Official stamp, seal and signature that is unique to each Notary Public.

The Official stamp and signature will be placed on your documents.

This Official stamp, seal and signature are officially recorded on a database held at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). DFAT is an Australian government department with authority to issue Apostille / Authentication Certificates when they verify the seal and the signature of the Notary on Australian documents are genuine.
